Meet the Staff

Jenette Hume, Office Manager

A Southern Californian native, Jenette has been with C.O.R.E. since its origination in 2006 as our office manager. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television and Film, and a minor in Women’s Studies. Jenette has found a great importance in assuring leadership and management with the office and emphasizing the team approach. Jenette takes great pride in representing C.O.R.E. and is constantly improving the flow of the office. She is also BLS Instructor certified through the American Heart Association. Being very family-oriented, Jenette is married and a proud mother of her newborn son.

Stephanie Rakowitz, Implant Treatment Coordinator & Surgical Assistant

Stephanie is our implant treatment coordinator, as well as one of our back-office surgical assistants since 2008. A recent graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a B.S. in Health Science, Stephanie is currently pursuing her graduate studies in nursing to become a Registered Nurse. She is licensed as a Certified Oral Surgery Assistant (COMSA), Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), and Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), and is also ACLS, PALS and BLS Instructor certified through the American Heart Association. Stephanie plays a dynamic role in our office, providing support to patients in the front and back office.

Tram Szenczi, Insurance Coordinator

Tram is our office insurance coordinator and resource to patients with billing and insurance concerns. A valuable team player, Tram is well-versed in various aspects of front office patient care. She also assists in the marketing of C.O.R.E. with her creative and innovative ideas. Outside of the office, Tram is married and blessed with three children.

Patti Purdom, Treatment Coordinator

Patti has been employed with Dr. Fontanesi as his office manager since 1973, and joins him at C.O.R.E.. She is a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and Certified Oral Surgery Assistant (COMSA) who has vast experience in surgical procedures and technology, along with excellent and extensive administrative skills. She and her husband David have been married since 1972 and they have two sons.

Ruth Camardi, Treatment Coordinator

Ruth specializes in the care of Dr. Fontanesi’s patients within C.O.R.E. She is a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and Certified Oral Surgery Assistant (COMSA), who has worked in the dental field off and on since 1976. Ruth has three sons and is the proud grandmother of twins. Ruth enjoys hiking, camping and especially enjoys riding on the back of her husband’s Harley Davidson.

Sonia Espinoza, Surgical Assistant

Sonia is our surgical assistant who brings her medical assisting knowledge and both front and back office experience to the practice. She is a Certified Oral Surgery Assistant (COMSA), and has worked with the practice since 2006. With her playful sense of humor and versatility in the office, Sonia is a wonderful asset to our team.

Carlos Marin, Surgical Assistant

Carlos joined the C.O.R.E. team in 2007, bringing his extensive experience with both restorative dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery to the practice. Carlos is a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and a Certified Oral Surgery Assistant (COMSA). His limitless knowledge and engaging personality makes Carlos a great team member.

Weslie Lewis, Surgical Assistant

Weslie has been an oral surgery assistant for over two years, and recently completed the Certified Oral Surgery Assistant training course (COMSA). She joined our office practice in 2010 as our newest addition to the team. She has completed her dental assisting training and will be eligible to sit for the Registered Dental Assistant exam and licensure. With her charming personality and infectious smile, Weslie provides all of our patients with a sense of comfort.

Kayla O’Connell, Scheduling Coordinator

Our newest addition to C.O.R.E., Kayla recently graduated from Concorde’s dental assisting program. With her history of working in the hotel industry, Kayla brings her hospitality and great organizational skills to the practice to ensure that your visit at C.O.R.E. is pleasant, as we know how valuable your time is. In her free time, Kayla enjoys soaking up the California sun, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
